I work as technician in the laboratory of Professor Harry Sokol. I joined the team in 2014 to investigate the role of the microbiota in immunity, especially in IBD (Crohn disease and Ulcerative colitis).
With Dr Mathias Lavie-Richard, we joined this team to provide an expertise in the fungi study. Before, we worked mainly on the yeast Candida albicans (and others too) and the role of the cell wall in pathogenesis.  We have many competences to reinforce a new topic of the group, the role of fungi in the microbiota and IBDs.
My main job consists to be in support of all research’s projects of the group. Also, within different projects, I’m led to take in charge the experimentations in their totality once the mission is defined with the responsible.
My competences range from the setup of an animal experiment to the isolation of microorganisms (microbiology), to their identification or to the tracking of gene expression (molecular biology), and also to the isolation and culture of cells for immune studies (cell culture, immunology).
