Je développe de nouveaux types de biocapteurs pour étudier les bactéries, leur membranaires, les protéines ou l'ADN. Mon travail a consisté à développer des immunocapteurs SPR (virus de la grippe, protéine prion, molécules odorantes), et biocapteurs électrochimiques à base d'ADN et/ou anticorps pour la détection et la surveillance des agents pathogènes (virus de l'hépatite A, virus de la grippe, Bacillus cereus, Campylobacter, Listeria). Actuellement, mes recherches portent sur la détection de pathogènes bactériens dans les aliments (lait, viande de poulet) et dans l'eau.
D'autres projets concernent la nanobiotechnologie, y compris le développement de nanoparticules d'oxyde bimétallique avec une activité antibactérienne pour les emballages alimentaires intelligents et des surfaces structurées à l'échelle nanométrique pour amplification des signaux optiques (chimioluminescence et fluorescence).
